Designated Compliance and Risk Officer
Responsibilities

  • Liaison between Pinkexc and the regulators and law enforcement agencies for compliance matters and investigations.
  • Custodian to all internal policy, procedures, guidelines and circulars related to e-money products.
  • Advise business units of proposed or pending regulatory changes.
  • Prepare, update policies and procedures, and disseminate information to staff.
  • Evaluate new products and services to determine the level of risk.
  • Develop comprehensive reports for the unusual transactions to determine movements of anti-money laundering activities.
  • Managed high-volume cases on tight deadlines and with zero errors as verified by Team Leader.
  • AML subject matter expert (relief AML Officer) providing direction and guidance to employees on appropriate remedial action for high risk accounts.
  • Assist AML Officer to obtain documentary proof of suspicious transactions and ensure effective record keeping of suspicious transaction identified and timely STR reporting to the Financial Intelligence Enforcement Department (FIED) in Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
  • Prepare and submit reports of AML activities to senior management, board of directors and regulatory authorities.
  • Assist AML Officer in overseeing administrative matters related to code of conduct and compliance with AML and terrorist financing activities.
  • Assist AML Officer in developing training materials, coordinate anti-money laundering training and implement AML compliance programme.
  • Assist AML Officer in developing / reviewing policies and procedures to detect and deter money laundering activities in operations.
  • Ensure efficient identification and monitoring of suspicious activities and transactions.
  • Identify and prevent money laundering risk in electronic money (e-money).
  • Ensure appropriate steps to identify, assess and understand their ML/TF risks in relation to customers, countries or geographical areas and products, services, transactions or delivery channels are in place.
  • Ensure risk profiling of Pinkexc's customers are conducted prior to engagement.
  • Ensure regular review and update of the customer’s risk profile are also conducted based on their level of ML/TF risks.
  • Ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations to the Board of Directors, senior management to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.
  • Monitor the performance of the Compliance Programme and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps according to improve its effectiveness.
  • Responsible for analysing customer account activities through the utilization of fraud parameters and research tools to ensure Pinkexc’s maintains a high level of loss avoidance and a low level of risk due to fraudulent activity within Pinkexc’s customer base.
  • Responsible (assist Fraud Officer) to conduct fraud investigations, if any.


Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s desired.
  • Proven experience as a Compliance Officer.
  • Experience in risk management.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, or AML).
  • Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
